Great mentors don't just tell you what you want to hear, they share from personal experience what you need to hear in light of your current situation and future goals.

This life is about relationships. Who you surround yourself with is who you become. Choose your heroes wisely, because you will become like them. Choose your friends wisely as well, their habits, language and behaviour will become your own.

Great mentors don't solve your problems, they guide you to make your best decision and encourage you to take personal ownership of the next steps for success.

Motivating people is more than having the right incentives, the right programs and the right benefit packages. It's about tapping into the unique passions, personalities and strengths of those entrusted to our care.

Failure does not define us, it refines us.

Leadership is about relationships - whether it’s a business deal with a client or a conversation with a family member - our ability to understand and appreciate individual uniqueness and perspective is paramount to living a fulfilled life.

Do not be afraid of pain. Pain is a part of life. Trying to avoid pain is like trying to avoid living. Pain and suffering are the stepping stones of faithfulness. Stop avoiding pain. Embrace it. Feel it. Be stronger from it.

The diversity of our connections outside our particular tribe is directly proportionate to our ability to listen, learn and love.
